According to studies of eye doctors and optometrists, humans are approximately 25% faster when reading from paper than reading from a screen.
Part of it is credited to the sense of orientation of the human eye. Orientation can be supported by moving a finger across the paper or on screen by moving the mouse pointer with the read passages.
