Symptoms of Astigmatism
Astigmatism does not affect the vision in the same way for everybody but they are fairly common in the Middle East countries.
An uncorrected Astigmatism leads to a blurry vision in either horizontal or vertical way which often leads to fatique and eyestrain. While the afore mentioned symptoms are not always caused by Astigmatism they often occur as a consequence.
When a person with astigmatism sees an image, it depends on the shape of the eye whether it leads to a horizontal or a vertical astigmatism. As a third variant there is also the oblique astigmatism which is a diagonal deformation of the eye.
Please note that these deformation are very normal and are not comparable to an eye desease or illness. They are merely refractive errors changing the way, light gets focussed within the eye.
Astigmatism can be corrected with toric contact lenses
